I’ll be sharing below how I set forth this really simple and very easy tree winter activity and all of the items we used:
Materials:
We only used 3 ingredients/items which were easy peasy:
Construction paper
Pom poms (on the larger side)
Washable kids paint
Finger Paint Craft Ideas
To setup this simple winter tree art project/activity:
I made sure the blue paper was faced on the longer side.
Then, we used brown paint on my LO’s hand and pressed it down onto the blue sheet of construction paper.
Note: This is the tree bark. Make sure to add brown paint to not only the hand but on a part of the arm as well so that the tree trunk is longer and looks like a tree. 🙂 We will do this next time!
Then, once that is dry (or not) use a large white pom pom to dot white paint around the “winter tree bark”. This is “snow” and is so much fun for learning about the winter season.
Paintings of winter trees
Not only can you learn about painting a winter tree, you can also paint and learn about the other three seasons with a:
Fall tree painting
Summer easy finger painting tree
Spring tree painting
Elaborate on the colors of the trees leaves and how they change from season to season.
In the winter season, the leaves fall and the tree is bare with only a tree trunk.
This is a wonderful way to create paintings of winter trees with preschoolers and for kids!
Paintings of trees in winter can be made easily with a few items:
Kids paintbrush

Qtips held together by a hair tie
Your fingers and palms of hands (the best! :))
