How do you make something out of cotton?
Making something out of cotton doesn’t have to be hard.
In fact, you can easily think of something creative that relates and looks similar to cotton and that can be used as a fun preschool theme:

Rainbow clouds
These are just some examples of cotton wool crafts that can be incorporated within a preschool theme.
How to: Simple Reindeer Craft and Activity
Here are the steps I took to put together this simple reindeer cotton wool craft and activity:
Cut a paper plate in a triangular shape.
Then, stencil out your LO’s hands onto a sheet of construction paper.
Cut out the stenciled out hands on the sheet of paper.
Glue the bottom of the handprint on the paper to the rounded edge of the triangular paper plate cutout.
This will allow for reindeer antlers to come about.
Then, add cotton balls all around the triangular paper plate shape you just cut out.
Add cotton rounds for eyes and a red circle cutout construction paper as the nose.
Then, fill a cup of water with a couple squirts of brown washable liquid watercolors.
Insert water droppers within the cup and start filling the cotton balls with color by squeezing the colored water onto the cotton balls.
Once, you have completed filling in the reindeer with its color via the cotton balls, you’ve created an epic reindeer craft with a bit of water play!
We made sure to color the eyes on the reindeer in a different color than the rest of it.
My LO’s chose this bluish/purple color for the eyes.
Very fun and easy craft work using cotton!
