Rainbow Sprinkle Letter Writing Tray DIY

That was lots of fun!
This is a bit different and also very fun!
It is a DIY version of a letter writing tray and you probably have one of the items I am going to mention right at home, right now!
And, drumroll please… that item is a lid of a shoebox!
Yes, you don’t need a wooden Montessori tray to make this.
Those are awesome by the way but a lid of a shoebox will work just as fine!
I themed this ice cream sprinkles writing tray for summer and of course, ice cream.
Sprinkle letters are a fun way to learn pre-writing skills.
This time around we used “faux sprinkles” aka rainbow rice for this letter writing for kids DIY.

Top of a shoe lid box
A kids paint brush
An alphabet letter salt tray is essentially sort of the same concept of the tray we made using rainbow rice except it uses salt in replacement of the rice.
Salt is a fun sensory activity and can be used to learn about letters too!
Practice letter writing and learn to write your letters with a salt tray.
It is calming and full of sensory benefits and a great outlet for learning about the basic skills of early learning.

How do you make a sensory writing tray?
Activities for learning letters can be easily set up.
This activity for learning writing letters using rainbow rice was so easy to put together.
Here are the steps I took to create this Alphabet writing tray:
Insert rainbow rice into a shoebox lid.
Then, spread the rice around so that it covers within the lid.
Use a clean paint brush to create letters.
