Ping pongs are really amazing tools for teaching about colors, the alphabet, counting, patterns, skip counting, shapes and so much more..
Ping pong games can involve learning like learning sight words and CVC words.
You can even practice alphabet sound games by connecting the letters and discussing their letter sounds rather than the actual letter name.
Abcs learning doesn’t have to be boring at all.
It can be fun with this easy ABCD activity using ping pong balls for learning through play!
How I put this simple DIY Ping Pong Activity together:
Write letters, numbers, shapes… onto ping pong balls.
Then, attach velcro dots on each end making sure they stick together correctly.
Play and learn by placing the ABC’s together in the correct order, numbers in the correct order, numbers for skip counting… and so much more!

Another fun idea that comes to mind is to actually write out letters within a muffin tin can (dont worry, you can use a dry erase marker to easily erase it later) or use muffin cupcake liners for writing numbers onto.
Then, match the numbered ping pong balls within the muffin tin for a fun number matching activity.
