How to make a simple DIY Pumpkin Sensory Bag for Kids
Not only did we make a pumpkin sensory bag for kids, I also went about adding other not so spooky items to our sensory bag:
Witches cat Sensory Bag
Frankenstein Sensory Bag
Pumpkin Sensory Bag
But, you can most definitely go about adding any other fun not so spooky items to your sensory bag. 🙂
Here are the steps I took to put this simple set of Halloween Sensory Play ideas together:
Draw out Not so Spooky items on sheets of cardstock paper.
Tip: Be sure to cut the cardstock paper so that it fits in your ziplock bag.
Then, insert your sheets of cardstock paper individually.
Add a little bit of paint into each.
Tip: For our Frankenstein sensory bag I added green paint; For our Pumpkin Sensory Bag I added in orange and green..
Close and Zip your sensory bags up.
You are good to go!
Set those Halloween Sensory bags on the table and have a go at pushing down on them so that the paint covers each of the spooky items.
This activity is wonderful for babies and toddlers.
Why?
Because it involved a bit of mess free, no mess art and craft for babies and for toddlers.
Your LO not only will be painting in a mess free way, they’ll be creating art all while receiving the benefits of sensory play!
Don’t you just love multi-purpose activities that work for a differentiated set of ages and incorporate benefits and different themes?
I just love them!
My oldest and even I enjoyed pushing down on the sensory bags.
It was a fun and therapeutic squishy sensory bag that was perfect for this time of year!
Do you have a center or are in a school setting?
This activity is also great for many kids and not just one. This craft for kids will work whether you are at home, in a school setting or homeschooling at home!
Easy and fun!
I hope you try it out and if you do please let me know how it went. 🙂
