Who else loves sticky wall contact paper activities?
They are truly the coolest and easiest activity ever!
And, what’s also really neat about it is that you can theme it for the season or for early learning!
Sticky paper activities are great activities for toddlers, preschoolers and for kids in general!
Contact paper on walls can be themed for the season and even used as a fun early learning activity!
We themed ours for Fall but I also wanted to include a fun little early learning twist by creating shape leaves!
I’ll be sharing how we worked on learning about shapes and colors while having fun!

Contact paper crafts for toddlers
So, how exactly did I set up this simple wall contact paper activity?
Easy peasy!
Here are the steps I took to create this wall contact paper activity:
Open your contact paper roll and draw out a tree trunk with your sharpie marker.
Then, remove the tape and use duct tape to tape it to the wall.
Tip: Make sure the sticky part is facing you when adding the contact paper to the wall.
Tape all around the contact paper.
Voila! You’ve a simple contact paper tree on wall!

Now that your fun contact paper activity wall is all ready, what do we do next?
The next step is to add the shape leaves to the wall.
I have foam shapes of all colors in our supply closet.
So, I made sure to only take out the Red, Yellow and Orange ones so it was themed for Fall! 🙂

I set those within one of my LO’s bowls and she grabbed them, peeled them and stuck them onto the sticky wall tree!
I mentioned the foam shapes can stick easily without needing to be peeled off.
But she insisted to peel them and it was great because fine motor skills benefits were involved! 🙂
Yay for that!
She had lots of fun with this easy peasy activity and we talked about colors, shapes and the Fall season. 🙂

Preschool wall decoration
If you are looking to decorate your preschool wall, this is a wonderful way to decorate with your LO’s in mind.
Their beautiful decorations will be placed on the wall and you can talk about the shapes and colors throughout the Fall season, yay! 🙂
These will work as toddler daycare activities or as a fun sticky paper to wall preschool activity!
I hope you enjoy and if you try it out, leave me a comment below letting me know how it went! 🙂
