That’s it!
Easy peasy, right?
Now, depending on the size of the heart you cut out will depend on if you will need the large or small zip lock bag for this.
In our example, we used two large ziplock bags for both cardstock hearts!

If you’d like to create art in a fun way that involves sensory play and squishy fun, then this is it!

Of course, older kids will probably still love this. I love it too!
And, this is because squishing around paint is not only fun for littles but for everyone.
I like to tape down the ziplock bag and make sure it is attached so that the messy painting does not come out through the sides and so that it is contained properly.
Art for babies and painting for children can be lots of fun with a bit of sensory play involved!
What other fun ways can we go about this simple set of squishy painting preschool activities?
Mess Free Painting activities for children
So, how exactly did I put this simple mess free paint for toddlers, preschooler and for kids activity together?
Here are the steps I took:
Cut Out a heart out of cardstock paper.
Add drops of paint onto the center of the heart cardstock paper you cut out.
Then, insert carefully into zip lock bag making sure to not smear the paint too much.
Tip: Working on color mixing? Add two primary colors to see what color comes about when mixed! 🙂
Close the zip lock bag airtight and add tape around it and to the table or clean indoor floor.
Voila! You’ve an epic squishy mess free painting!
Squish the paint around and have fun creating art in a fun, squishy, sensorial way!
This set of painting activities for toddlers, painting activities for preschoolers and for kids is so much fun and a very easy setup!
What other fun baby painting activities or kid painting activities have you tried before?
Share with me below so I can maybe try it out with my LO’s too!
I love this concept and hope to try it with my great granddaughters soon. But you don’t mention drying time or how to dry their creations. Do you leave it in the bag for a time? Do you hang it to dry? And, LOL, how do you keep the kiddos fingers out of it while it dries?
thank you! 🙂 I hope you enjoy with your granddaughters as well 🙂 I’m sorry about that. yes, we remove the heart and leave it out to dry on a paper towel. haha! we usually place it on our kitchen countertop on top of a paper towel to dry.
Tell me how you dried the painting? Did you take the paper out of the bag right away and lay out to dry or how did you do that part? I do storytime at our library and this looks like fun! Thanks much.
Yes! I took the paper out of the bag right away and left it out to dry! 🙂 Oh, that’s awesome! Have fun!
What is the best way to get the project to dry? Get it out wet? leave in plastic baggie to dry?
We removed it from the bag to dry! 🙂
Try using Saran Wrap on top instead of the baggie ♀️
thanks for the suggestion! 🙂
