Christmas will be here before you know it and I’ve some amazing, fun and very easy Reindeer crafts for kids ideas you can try out this time of year and throughout the years to come!

How to Make a Reindeer Sensory Bag
We made a really fun and very easy reindeer sensory bag.
You can draw a craft reindeer on the bag and then your LO can go ahead and draw it brown.
Because the bag is plastic, you can use dry erase markers or sharpie markers if you choose to.
This reindeer sensory bag was great because it incorporated a bit of early learning.
I’ll share how exactly this took place below.
These are the steps I took to create a simple and very easy reindeer sensory bag:
Draw a reindeer head outline on the ziplock bag.
Be sure to make the nose a circle with no color on the inside of the circle. I’ll explain why below.
Tip: Remove the logo (if you’d like) with nail polish remover or a bit of rubbing alcohol.
Open a large sized zip lock bag.
Insert hair gel into it (about 1 cup or so.)
Then, insert colorful pom poms making sure there is a red pom pom or two in there.
Then, zip up the bag leaving any remaining air out of the bag.
Lay the bag on a table.
Use duct tape to tape the zipped part and to tape it down to keep it extra secure.
Your LO can practice moving around the pom poms and bringing them to that circle nose.
Discuss the colors by saying, “Is Rudolph’s nose blue?” and then they will probably say, “NO! 🙂 It’s red!” while moving the red pom pom to the nose.
This is a wonderful way to learn about colors and to learn about the Christmas story reindeer, Rudolph, and how his nose was red but not any other color.
Neat, right?
How do you make a reindeer out of handprints
A really cute reindeer activity that we tried and loved, we used my LO’s handprints to make reindeer antlers!
Very fun and very easy.
Whether you are making a paper plate reindeer craft or a reindeer paper bag craft, you can make a reindeer out of handprints.
Outline your LO’s hand mark on a brown sheet of paper.
Then, cut out the hand mark from the brown paper and glue both to the back of the paper plate or paper bag to create a reindeer craft with handprint antlers!
If you are looking to make a reindeer out of handprints specifically, repeat the same step of outlining your LO’s hand or your hand on a sheet of paper.
Then, on the thumb outline, draw a reindeer head, antlers and nose.
The rest of the fingers will work as the reindeers four legs!
Easy and simple reindeer craft idea you can try out at home (most likey, right now!) 🙂
