How to make a Farm Sensory Bin
This small world sensory play was a very simple setup.
You can theme your sensory bin in a simple and fun way that works for you.
Here is how we set ours up:
Set out a bin and add a base. For a base, we used corn kernels but any base will do (your LO’s squishy toys, your LO’s cereal..)
Then, add a few scoop and pour toys within your farm activities sensory bin.
Set out your LO’s toy farm animals within the sensory bin to create a simple farm sensory activities setup.

Farm Sensory Bin Ideas
Some fun ideas with this simple sensory bin setup are to tell an Old Macdonald Sensory Story in conjunction with the book.
Another fun kids activity idea is to feed the farm animals counting sensory bin.
As your LO pretend feeds the farm animals, they can count as they feed them.
Farm animals Montessori activities can also include a fun learning counting game with a couple of wooden counting chips and wooden bowls for a neat learning activity.
Last but not least, try a simple set of preschool art farm ideas with a fun art activity to draw out the farm animals as you play with your Farm sensory bin and create art!
This farm small world play can include a bit of counting the farm animals all while receiving the benefits of sensory play!
Some other benefits are:
Hand and Eye Coordination
Fine Motor Activities
Color Recognition
And more..
I hope you enjoyed this and if you have any other fun and simple activities, please let me know.
