Felt is just one of those crafty materials that doesn’t cost too much, it’s great for learning activities and I just keep it stored up if I’m feeling crafty one day!
It is springtime at the moment and I thought to create something really epic but simple enough that you can try it at home and it comes with a bit of an educational twist for early learners!
I’ll share with you how easy these are to make, what fun educational learning games you can try with them and how you can tailor it to a differentiated set of ages for early learning!

Craft Sticks
And, can you believe that is it! 🙂
So easy!
How do you make homemade felt flowers?
It’s rather easy!
Here are the steps I took to create our felt flowers:
I made sure to grab two pieces of felt squares that were identical in color.
Then, I used scissors to cut the felt into two tulip shaped figures.
Grab a craft stick and center it so you know where to place it.
Then, add a bit of glue from your hot glue gun onto the craft stick and place it at the center of the felt tulip.
Add a bit of glue all around the edges and sandwich the other felt tulip piece right on top.
You will have created a tulip flower with the craft stick as the stem.
To make this fun and educational for my girls, I made sure each craft stick matched the colors of the felt squares.
This in turn allowed for my girls to practice their colors.
Another fun educational twist you can add to these are to use a sharpie marker and add numbers to each of the felt tulips.
This will allow the practice of counting!
I used an empty and clean plant pot to add beans to (you can add dirt if you choose to) and add the craft sticks onto the beans as if they are pretend flowers.
Enjoy! 🙂
