What activities develop fine motor skills?
Any activity that involved a bit of working on those hand muscles which in turn works on pre-writing skills is a fun way to gain the benefits of fine motor play while having fun.
For example, in this activity my LO was to find the clothes peg that contained the lowercase letter a, for example and then she had to find the uppercase letter A sticker.
Once she found it, she then used her hand muscles to open the clip and insert it onto the correct matching letter on the cardboard cutout.
She is not only learning about the alphabet, she is also gaining the benefits of fine motor skills by opening up the clothespin and closing it on the correct letter match.
Easy peasy, right?
